OUR KENNEL

Amicus Optimus means Best Friend.

Our first leonberder was Freddy. He’s outstanding. He’s gorgeous. He’s great. That’s why we adopted the second leonberger - Baddy. The third was Mura, the forth - the Stjopa, then Grappa. Recently Ice joined the team. Who knows when and how it will finish :)

We live in the countryside in Rasskazovka which is 8 km south-west of  Moscow on Borovskoe highway. We are proud of our dogs’ pound. The floor consists of special warm-keeping material that prevents from puddles and mud. In the middle of the pound there are two trees to ensure shade in case of heat. On top of pound there’s a roof, underneath – doghouses. Behind the pound there a forest where dogs enjoy walking several times a day.

Of course all dogs like to come and stay at home, especially Mura. Sometimes we let them in, altogether or separately.

In a separate small house on our lot there are 2 rooms reserved for needs of our dogs. In one of the rooms we keep forage, let the dogs warm up when temperature is below -20C and hide females in period of lewdness. In the other females can deliver cubs and stay with them on early stage. There’s also a shower to clean the dogs with surface comfortable for cubs.

We love traveling and our dogs too. That’s why we bought a special car for dogs. They really enjoy driving in a car. That’s obvious as they have their own sunroof , air conditioning and athermal glass. Our dogs have visited many counties and cities such as Stockholm, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw, Riga, Helsinki, some Russian towns and of course Leonberg.

On numerous dog shows we attended we became acquainted with a lot of people and even found some friends.
